The United States needs to develop a national astrologistics infrastructure to foster commercial space operations throughout the Earth-Moon system. By building an “Astral Highway” and enabling space bases and space habitats in low Earth orbit, America can support robust business ventures and secure its leadership in human spacefaring, moving beyond mere robotic operations. Continue Reading129 – Building America’s “Astral Highway” to promote American human spacefaring commerce
To re-establish its leadership in human spacefaring, America must develop a national astrologistics infrastructure for safe operations in the Earth-Moon system. Utilizing the unmanned cargo version of the Space Launch System (SLS)—re-branded as America’s “Spacelifter”—will facilitate the construction of essential space bases and habitats, realizing America’s human spacefaring ambitions. Continue Reading128 – America’s Spacelifter: Charting America’s practicable path spaceward using the Space Launch System’s cargo version

Established as an inalienable human right by President Franklin Roosevelt, “freedom from want” requires abundant supplies of industrial energy. Through the development of space solar power-generated astroelectricity, America can fulfill its moral obligation to enable the global achievement of “freedom from want” with abundant green energy. Continue Reading124 – America’s moral obligation to develop astroelectricity

Is the United States prepared for non-nuclear space warfare? Pearl Harbor II is a fictional future space war scenario written in 1995 that is still relevant today. Continue Reading122 – Pearl Harbor II: A fictional scenario of a non-nuclear space attack on the United States
If a government pledges and, especially, if it imposes laws mandating decarbonization, then it is reasonable to expect that the practical means to achieve decarbonization has been quantitatively defined. In short, a well-developed decarbonization plan must exist somewhere, right? What if such a plan doesn’t exist? Continue Reading121 – An assessment of EU decarbonization options including astroelectricity
Space solar power-generated astroelectricity is growing in recognition as the world’s future primary green energy source. This video and paper explain why this is happening. Continue Reading120 – The Coming Age of Astroelectricity
The Green New Deal is a false choice for America and the world to achieve an orderly and prosperous transition to sustainable energy. Mike Snead provides two presentations that describe why GEO space-based solar power (astroelectricity) is the way to achieve this goal. Continue Reading119 – Astroelectricity far surpasses the dangerous Green New Deal
As part of its “great rejuvenation” to seek global hegemony, communist China has a “space dream” to dominate the coming spacefaring industrial revolution. U.S. Space Command will need an American “Star Fleet” with substantial manned space combat capabilities to respond to the growing communist Chinese space threat. Continue Reading118 – Communist China’s Space Threat

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, while dismissing a federal climate change lawsuit on constitutional grounds, found merit in the plaintiffs’ assertions. This ruling further signals that the era of fossil carbon fuels is coming to an end in America. The need for astroelectricity is now clear unless you want something like the disastrous Green New Deal. Continue Reading116 – A legal "warning shot across the bow" regarding our continued fossil carbon fuel use
